Mama's Boys Part 1
Просмотров 20 тыс.12 лет назад
Mama's boys does not sound like the typical name for a hard rock/ heavy metal group that toured the world tearing up music venues in every major city in the 80's and 90's.. But hailing from rural Fermanagh the name kind of makes sense as Pat, John and Tommy Mc Manus where just three local lads who had dream of playing music to the masses.

Great guys. Immensely talented guys. God bless them and brother Tommy. Heartbreaking. You cannot help but love this band
God bless them. Fantastic and tragic story of a band who KICKED ASS
These guys deserved major stardom. Its a tragic tale.
Class 😎👍💫🇮🇪
God Tommy Rest in peace always. Loved mamas boys and you can see how pat and John can bounce off each other and laugh or smile at the stories they tell. Mamas Boys Forever...🎉
To this day, I still listen to Mama's Boys. They were part of the soundtrack of my youth. RIP Tommy. I still crank them up whenever can and turn young people onto them where I can. Such amazing talent. MAMA'S BOYS ROCK!
Frankie helped trace our family to Kesh and surrounding area.
All 3 - Absolute gentlemen, following the Rory approach to their audience - Respect. (Have a look for their post MB band ‘Celtus’) 👍🇮🇪🤞
Love Celtus. Saw them a couple of times and have albums.
He's still going!! Looks exactly the same, 13 years(!!) later. Now in Cornwall, bless him 😁👍
....and funnily enough me and my wife are coming to Ireland in 3 weeks for a holiday, but not on our bikes ( unfortunately) ❤
Just left County Durham today, heading for Scotland!🚴♂️
I’m from Oklahoma and I’ve been a huge fan since ‘85! Still playing their albums.
Pat keeps looking at John like hey I like to talk a lot so you can you stop talking so I can talk more. :-) Such a great band.
The "Wailing Wall" of Fermanagh
I will personally see that he gets a Mafia funeral......A K.A. A hat pin....just to make sure he is dead
I am from Brazil and I still got your lp, which I bought when I was in vacation in London, nov, 1982, before going to see your show in Marquee Club. Your signatures are in it, and I remember very well when I went to tell you that I had a rocknroll band in the south of Brazil, on backstage... After that, laughing, Professor paid to me a pint of dark beer and said to me that I was a good boy. 😊Thank you all for these unforgetable good moments...
Now it has been stolen.
whay a great documentary , fab band .
power & passion , plug it in , brings me right back to my school days. There was only two bands we were crazy about Lizzy & Mamas Boys....Such talent , great rock sound , great albums , Would love to see gthem come back.
First gig of mine SFX Dublin '84
We were at Knebworth but we had ulster flags, but we always loved mamas boys, R. I. P. Tommy mcmanus ❤️
Seen pat supporting magnum last night, still rocking, great band from wee Northern Ireland should have been bigger than they were
Fermanagh TV made some excellent films in 2010-2011 and it is fine that they are now available to everyone on RUclips. Sorry to see that it did not carry on, but 10 years later they look as good as they were when made.
I was at gortatole with my school years ago
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😂😂😂😂😂😂🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
These boyz deserved way more fame than they got. Saw them a few times and loved them.
I prefer the 'celtus' band to be honest!
Is this the same guy who used to be on BBC Radio 4?
I am from yesteday in BELEEK
What a fantastic band.i first got to hear them on the friday rock show.the song needle in the groove.i loved their music. Midnight promises.straight forward.too little of you for me to love.power and passion.the list goes on. I remember buying one of their records and getting a free lee t shirt. A great classic rock band.
So interesting frankie I’ve really enjoyed listening
Why is she smiling, how disgusting. It was a mans funeral not a bloody celebrity party 🤬
Your comment is disgusting. She is reminiscing about the good times, looking back on happy times..
Just landed on this, followed Mammas Boys in the 80s and back enjoying Pat at
Ah now, lads and lassies. Hundreds of people playing music and not a smile to be had from anyone?
Memories of a great event.
NI has always in my lifetime been treated in a lesser way than the rest of the UK. The English couldn't give a flying FCK about NI and it's wants or needs
They played in Bagnalstown, Co Carlow (early '80's (what year date?) and there was a power cut! Any info or anyone remember this? The only time I got to see them unfortunately.
Jane you spoke very well 👍
Seen them on the 85 tour in the US with Bon Jovi. Great show!
Horrible woman in real life im sure her tenants can attest to that
Great bloke from the Met.
I was talking to Pat at a gig in Letterkenny in 2019..i asked him was it true that David Coverdale ask hin to join Whitesnake ..he turned it down and John Sykes got the gig..shows his loyalty.
@Mad Mike There you go🤘
Milford Inn..Donegal 1984..great times!
